My Project Proposal
During the Genius Hour that I took this week I specifically wanted to land on what I wanted to do as a project. To this point I learned about how important my topic that I chose really is. While some parents try to limit screen-time through forced breaks, it was apparent in my research that those actions cause negative consequences later down the line and to counter act it, finding specific activities that match the child's wants, such as lego or other physical building are proven to be supportive.
Some troubles I had this week was landing exactly /what/ activity I will be doing in terms of physical/hands on building. Lego? Model building? Or something else? As well as landing specifically on how long I should be setting aside time either daily or weekly to work on this project.
A few questions and next steps that I need to answer before the next Genius Hour is finalize what I'll be doing as a project, set aside some extra time to figure out what time works best for me to work on it and a big question is why do I think this will truly help students learn as a future educator?
